On this episode of the podcast, Desmond catches up with former teammate Nick Barnett at Cashe Creek Casino and Resort before Desmonds Celebrity Golf Tournament. The Tournament was held to benefit the Desmond Bishop Foundation as well as My Friend’s House Youth Programs. Nick was one of many who showed up to take part in the event held at Yocha Dehe Golf Course.

Episode 003 | Former Vacaville Police Chief John Carli
For the last seven years, Vacaville Police Chief John Carli undertook the task of overseeing the 179 members of the Vacaville Police Force, an honor that culminated his 32-year career in police service. On April 16th of 2021, Chief Carli decided to call it a career, after proudly serving his community since 1989. Chief Carli started out as a K9 patroller, and rose through the ranks until he attained the role of Police Chief in 2014. As the Chief of Police, Carli was credited with improving the practices of the Vacaville Police Department, as well as improving the use of technology to ease the strain of policework. Today, Carli joins us on the Beasty Bish Podcast to reflect on his accomplishments and his successful career.

Episode 002 | Catching Up w/ AJ Hawk
During his four years at Ohio State, AJ Hawk was a nightmare to the other Big Ten teams every time he took the field at linebacker. After his senior year in 2005, AJ was named a unanimous first-team All-American, and awarded the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and the Lombardi Award as the nation's top linebacker. As a result, AJ was drafted #5 overall in the 2006 NFL Draft. With the 2021 NFL Draft upon on, AJ joins the podcast today to share his path to the draft story, in hopes of shining a light on what it is like to be a top pick in the NFL Draft, and what the young men who will be drafted this upcoming Thursday are going through now.

Welcome to the Beasty Bish Podcast. In this two-part debut episode, Desmond Bishop is joined by former Cal teammates LaVelle Hawkins and Worrell Williams to discuss their thoughts on the NFL Draft, as well as their own memories from their draft experiences.
In Part 2 of the Beasty Bish Podcast debut episode, Worrell tells his draft story and the lessons he learned from it. Desmond, LaVelle and Worrell then debate what it is like when a team has a young quarterback learning behind an established veteran, and get into advice they would offer to young players after getting drafted and ways to expand themselves beyond football.

Welcome to the Beasty Bish Podcast. In this two-part debut episode, Desmond Bishop is joined by former Cal teammates LaVelle Hawkins and Worrell Williams to discuss their thoughts on the NFL Draft, as well as their own memories from their draft experiences.
Desmond was drafted in the 6th round of the 2007 NFL draft. A year later, LaVelle was taken in the 4th round of the 2008 NFL Draft. Worrell signed with the 49ers as an undrafted free agent after the 2009 draft. Each player saw a different side of the draft, and in Part 1, LaVelle and Desmond talk about their experiences getting ready for the draft, and debate who thye think the 49ers should take at number three overall, and how NFL ready college quarterbacks really are.
