This week’s super-sized episode comes in late because it’s the holidays and your questions sent us into overtime. Just note that it was recorded prior to last night’s meeting with the Edmonton Oilers.

When we weren’t busy talking about our favorite topic (yes, the international holiday food debate returns for a third time), we talk about the retirement of San Jose Barracuda Legend Paul Martin, Joe Pavelski’s future with the San Jose Sharks and whether or not Marcus Sorensen is just smoke and mirrors. We learn something that makes us backtrack on our previous coaching critiques and we find out our biggest fan is just a Melnyk Twitter bot.

Oh yeah, and some guy named Erik Karlsson scored a goal? So I guess we talk about that, too.

We recorded this episode of Blood, Sweat, & Teal right after the news about the Kings broke, so here’s an extended Los Angeles Kings heat check, which led to looking at the state of other bad teams in the NHL. We also talk about the Sharks’ coaching decisions, future roster decisions and...High School Musical? Important questions get answered, like which match up of two teams would make you turn down an invite to a hockey game?

As always, we preview the upcoming slate of games with an Aaron Dell watch and bold predictions and check in on the Ottawa Senators — which, regrettably happened before the absolute best video of the Ottawa Former Sharks leaked. We’ll grab that next week.

In our maddest and sleepiest episode yet, Kyle manages to play good cop to Sie’s bad cop as they take on those pesky Erik Karlsson talks that spread through Sharks Territory.

That takes up most of the episode, where we also discuss the value of statistics versus the eye test and what is means when those things don’t line up. We recap the last week of Sharks news, check in on our bold predictions, make some new ones, and answer your questions!

It might not be our funniest episode ever, but to our credit — we’re still pretty mad right now. Sorry for the catheter talk, that was gross.
