Can community change who you are? A mother of four reflects on Traveling Village | S2 EP14

As Traveling Village 3 begins approaching its final weeks, Asha calls in to speak with Mette, a Danish mother of four, about what it has been like to travel through Asia as a family, live closely with other families for four months, and slowly realize the experience is changing her more than she expected.

Mette and her Bolivian husband joined Traveling Village hoping to give their children deeper friendships, more freedom, and a broader view of the world. What they didn't expect was how much the community itself would shape all of them.

The podcast follows 20 families as we travel together through Vietnam, Taiwan, and South Korea as a village. This season, Asha, who joined Traveling Village 1, calls in every week to talk with different people on the trip and follow along from afar. Each episode is around 20 minutes and is meant to give an honest, grounded sense of what village life feels like as it unfolds.
