Unpacking Lie #2 from the "8 Lies to Stop Believing" Series.



Lie #2 "I Am Perfect Just As I Am"  This lie limits your ability to grow. You are beautiful yes, unique yes , fearfully and wonderfully made absolutely. But perfect? Don’t deceive yourself. Locate yourself where you are where you aren’t and how you can get there. Keep the target in focus and climb that mountain with determination to be better.

Casey and Daniel reached out to me wanting to go deeper on this one and we had an incredible conversation on how in theory this sounds good but is wrapped up in deception. Be encouraged through our conversation to look deeper within yourself to see where this lie has hindered you from your potential.

With only 8 Weeks left in 2020 so to set up 2021 with foresight for greatness let's break off 8 lies that will hold you back from your potential.

Lie #1 I can attain perfection. This lie puts you on an unrealistic pedestal.

So how do we break the lie? With truth.

Recognize and own your humanity. It’s not an excuse to miss the mark, settle, or give up. But when you do underperform this allows you to have grace for yourself and in turn by that you have more grace for others when they miss the shot, show up late, don’t finish the job on time. Strive for progress not perfection.

Bold, True, Honest, You.

All require courage the last requires harnessing and surrendering...



Bold - possessing a sense of courage to stand out in who you are and step in to who you can be. Not limited by circumstance but rather using the surroundings to become more aware and mindful of how to operate most efficiently.

True - As with boldness the truth requires courage and pays a price knowing that the truth might hurt you but a lie will kill you. True means real, true means authentic, true means clear.

Honest - Along with truth honesty has to come from within first cause if you aren’t honest with yourself clarity will be far from your headspace. Honesty discerns and dissects with a patient aspect to it with the intent not to rush while still being persistent as it’s always a battle advancing as the lies fall to the side.

You - this one is undefined as there’s not another person on this planet capable of doing what you can. Embrace this, rejoice in this, however don’t elevate this above its proper place otherwise a narcissistic spirit will be awaiting that other side and though you stand out will make your days lonely... be bold, true and honest with what makes you you but also find commonalities with your tribe so you can experience the fullness of life.

A Word that dropped in my Spirit this week that allows perception to be transformed to see a new perspective of reframing a situation to find the good. Regaining confidence in who we believe we are in our core. Eradicate the lies, and let truth bring freedom and justice to whatever is oppressing you. And rejoicing remembering to celebrate and honor God for His strength that empowers you through His grace.
