In this episode, Martin is joined by Jakob Esben Hansen to talk about the the Future of learning - education is the next sector to become disrupted. (So let’s do it, before somebody else does it.) Jakob has a background in industrial design and interaction design and a master degree in IT and has been teaching Design, Entrepreneurship (innovation) and coding for nearly 10 years. He helped to start Denmark’s first High school that was fully based on Challenge Based Learning. Now working freelance (The Friendly Disruptor).

In this episode we discuss the following points:


Jakob is taking some time out of the classroom right now to think about the future of learning and education.
1a: Jakob was at a birthday last weekend ... 95 years old. We spoke about the changes that he has witnessed. What kind of new technologies and changes (e.g. climate change) are our kids going to experience before they retire?
1b: Future scenarios for education. (Dark and bright)
2. Challenge Based learning as one of the possible ways to become more future focused in education.
3. Everyone Can Code. Jakob is traveling to Ukraine in the weekend to give some Swift coding workshops.
4. Jakob has a podcast, Breakfast Conversations | 1:1 with amazing educators from around the world. - we discuss his WHY for making that podcast.
