    Submission Successful, Scout S3 E3

    Did you do the homework?

We are walking through the big (super big) points we find in the Most Likely to Succeed documentary. If your heart is not breaking for Scout... well, let's just say it should be.

If we asked you to assemble a flower, could you do it? What if education is more like gardening instead of manufacturing? We create prime conditions for growing, and the learners do their thing.

Keep the conversations and comments coming - we are LOVING them.

Are you one of us? S3 E2

Are you one of us? S3 E2

If we are really going to reimagine education , we have to tell you where we are drawing inspiration from and what we are working toward.

We could talk about an idea or a theory all day long, but you need to have the same passion for moving this conversation forward.

We've found 'our people' ... are you one of us?  You've got homework to figure it out.

Ch. 13... Make us love it again... S3 E1

Ch. 13... Make us love it again... S3 E1

What we need is for students to love to learn. Radical idea... what if we rolled back everyone one entire grade level? Let's change the approach, even if no one else is seeing the same problems as us... and flip SAMR on it's head in the process.

A new season means it's time to introduce our new(ish) focus... a broader conversation that is meant to help the education community remember our "why", learn to love it again, and make changes based on the idea of personal progress of each student in what we're calling student driven learning. We're filing Chapter 13 and starting at the highest level of SAMR - let's redefine it from the ground up.

    Format, Interrupted - BONUS EPISODE - S2 E11

    Format, Interrupted - BONUS EPISODE - S2 E11

We couldn't pass up the chance on a BONUS episode to officially wrap up Season 2. The fact that we got to do it face to face made it all the sweeter.

The amount of learning we've done over the past few months is just plain cool, and we are glad you are on the journey with us. For this bonus episode, we are talking about what works in terms of helping teachers do their thing - content, stakeholders, conversations, and more. Chad was able to spend a day with classroom teachers having chats about what it really means to be 1:1 with student devices... and why a change in how most people think is necessary before ever turning on the device itself.
