    Football Gumbo Episode 102

    Football Gumbo Episode 102

Super Bowl 55 is in the books and it was a dud. Bucs dominate 31-9 and Brady gets his remarkable 7th championship. Is it Patriot way or Brady way? Chiefs surprisingly inept and Mahomes was running for his life all game. How was the entertainment? Woke and Illuminati as usual. Boring and predictable.
Russell Wilson makes his displeasure known with his protection issues in Seattle...is he tired of seeing first round picks wasted?
Matt Campbell inks new deal at Iowa State.
Blockbuster Matt Stafford trade deal. Rams acquire Stafford in exchange for Goff, 2 first rounders, and a third.

Super Bowl 55 matcup is set as the Buccaneers will be the first franchise to host a Super Bowl vs the Kansas City Chiefs. It will be a bout consisting of 2 QBs on opposite ends of the spectrum, young dynamic Mahomes and the G.O.A.T. Tom Brady.
Matt LeFleur's call to kick a FG instead of go for the TD late in the game would be closely scrutinized. Rodgers of course, does the usual great job of making thinly veiled passive aggressive comments.
Chiefs defeat young upstart Bills and Josh Allen. Buffalo's lack of running game finally came back to bite them. A spicy array of well-timed blitzed by coach Spagnuola would fluster Allen as he kept running backwards losing yards as opposed to stepping up in the pocket.
Vols land a new AD Danny White, formerly of UCF and why not just bring along Josh Heupel. No one else is really interested in the gig with the NCAA looming large. LSU lands an impressive DC in former Vikings secondary coach Darante Jones, who has a history with former Tigers DC Dave Aranda.

It's all down to Bill-Chiefs, and the Battle of the Bays, Green Bay hosts Tampa Bay. AFC young guns Mahomes and Jackson suffer concussions and miss the remaining of their games. Mahomes hopefully can return to face off against Josh Allen and Buffalo. It's a much anticipated matchup we all have been waiting for. Backup Chad Henne and HC Andy Reid were able to seal the deal with some aggressive play-calling. Browns organization now appear to finally have a stabile duo of QB/coach. That's huge going forward. Ravens stall and their passing game needs vast improvement.
Green Bay exhibits offensive balance and solid D as they dispatch the Rams. They'll host Brady and the Bucs as the Saints once again waste a home playoff game with some limited stale offense. Thank you Drew Brees for all that you've met to the NOLA area.
We update you with coaching moves also and some NCAA news. Pruitt out in TN as newly hired Kevin Steele gets his shot.

    Football Gumbo Episode 99

Alabama is your NCAA Football Natty Champ again as they take down Ohio State Buckeyes who lost Trey Sermon on the first play of the game. Steve Sarkisian, soon to leave for Austin, TX, called a great game scheming his stars open and no one could stop DaVonta Smith except his injured finger. Jaylon Waddle also was on the field early from his ankle injury and was noticeably gimpy still. Kudos to the young man for toughing it out. Najee Harris is ridiculous and may be better than Josh Jacobs. Saban now has 7 national championships to his credit, surpassing Bear Bryant.
Brows shock the world with their coach, Kevin Stefanski, at home due to having COVID. Steelers were out of sorts, battled back, but Nick Chubb took a screen pass to the house for a big score to thunder ahead again. Is Big Ben done? Or will he be back? Do Steelers want him back? His cap number needs to be lowered.
Saints take down Bears. Michael Thomas catches a TD for the first time in like forever...Bears offense sputters again. Wims drops a wide open TD. Anthony Miller ejected, which didn't help. Saints D played well.
Rams defense carries the day as they turn back the Seahawks and their disjointed passing attack. OC Brian Schottenheimer out. Cam Akers returns in impressive fashion running the ball for the Rams.
Bills get by the Colts behind Josh Allen's continued fantastic play. Is Phillip Rivers going to retire or come back for one more year? Ravens exact their revenge on Titans as they contain Derrick Henry and run the ball effectively themselves. LSU miss out on Marcus Freeman as Notre Dame swoops in and woos him away.
