Cheney Joseph says he is still President of Grenada Football Association
Cheney Joseph says he is still the elected President of the Grenada Football Association (GFA) despite what he called an attempted coup by some disgruntled executive members.
Joseph remarks followed a reported decision by five executive members to suspend the president at a meeting on Saturday.
No official statement has been released by the GFA but Joseph, who was re-elected unopposed last May, confirmed that a meeting was held and he was informed about the 'attempted coup'.
Joseph spoke to GrenadaSports on Sunday January 27, 2019 where he discussed the decision as well as his next move. -
Grenada Government plans to stage "Intercol 2019" in March
The Ministry of Education plans to stage a Secondary Schools' Games (Athletic Championships) in response to the cancellation of the Inter-Secondary Schools' Athletic Championships by the Grenada Association of Principals of Secondary Schools.
Education Minister Emmalin Pierre says that the event will be held in March but will be preceded by Zonal Meets.
