    Patience
    Colossians 3: 12-14

Join us this Sunday as we continue our journey through the Fruit of the Spirit from Galatians 5:22-23. This week we consider the fruit of patience and God's call for his people to be "slow to anger" even if it requires "long suffering." But here is the thing - to what end?? And why?? And how?? Join us as we wrestle with these questions together.

    Patience
    Romans 12:12

“Patience is a virtue” is a phrase you may have heard in your life, and maybe you’ve even learned of its truth. Whether it is controlling our anger and knee-jerk responses to the moment or it is persevering under trying circumstances, we need God’s help to strengthen and sustain us in these moments or seasons of trial or else we often end up perpetuating the brokenness we are experiencing.

“Pruning For The Fruit Of Patience” (Celebration)

Sermon: Pruning For The Fruit Of Patience
    Text: James 5:7-11
Key Verse: James 5:8 - You too, be patient and stand firm, because the Lord’s coming is near.
Sermon Snapshot: Patience. It is something we all want right now when something – Anything? - gets frustrating. Dig through all the layers of motivations, rationalizations and confusion though and the Holy Spirit may show us instead a heart that can bear more fruit with a little bit of pruning. Ouch!

    Hope
    1 Peter 1: 3-13

Join us this Sunday as we continue our journey through the Fruit of the Spirit from Galatians 5:22-23. This week we step away from the listed fruit and consider a virtue that anchors our very soul - the living hope found in Jesus. It is easy to place our hope is our circumstance or specific outcomes but only our secure future in Christ is deserving of our ultimate hope.

    Hope
    1 Peter 1:3-13

As Christians we have been given a “new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus…that can never perish, spoil or fade.” In Jesus we have an assurance and certainty that can carry us through the seasons of life into God’s Kingdom that is both here and yet to come.

Sermon Snapshot: It took 30 years for Rock Johnson to understand how to face life with a “Living Hope” in a way that he can pass along to us in the story of his own experiences. We will be learning those lessons from this apprentice of Jesus.
