Ashley's life completely changed when she woke up to her apartment on fire. The PTSD and depression that followed was very isolating since so few people go through something similar. Only one more episode of the podcast left after this!

Rachel grew up in a very conservative, but what she thought was a loving home. That transitioned into a very difficult-ambiguous loss situation where she lost her entire family for being a gay and queer individual.

Megan is a single, gay mom with little to no help from her ex. Her heartbreak is the reality that one day her daughter is going to feel abandoned by someone who planned for her, but is raising someone else's children and has one of her "own".

In 2016, Crystal's husband passed away. He had a long struggle with medical conditions that led to abuse of opioids. Crystal estimates she went to over 1,000 doctors visits/hospital stays throughout their relationship.
