Since 1981, the Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture has created classes, groups, programs, and events that enrich and strengthen the cultural heart of our great city and bring the wisdom and imagination of the humanities into the lives of its residents.

Dr. Larry Allums teaches Dante's Inferno (class one)
In this series of classes held in 2016, Dr. Larry covers the Inferno, the first part of Italian writer Dante Alighieri's 14th-century epic poem The Divine Comedy. It is followed by Purgatorio and Paradiso. The Inferno tells the journey of Dante through Hell, guided by the ancient Roman poet Virgil.
