The Atelier Collective arose from an unofficial and unintentional brainstorming session in early summer 2017. Friends for years, Taryn and angela always admired one another’s business successes, in the corporate world and as entrepreneurs, as well as a love for adventure and travel. While catching up over lunch that day, they launched onto the topic of personal development and how immensely important it is to the person as a whole – both in business and in life. That day- The Atelier was Born. The second edition, with keynotes by Jillian Harris and Jessica Mulroney, is happening on June 18 2019. MARJORIE JOASIL is the Owner & Cofounder of Grind Atelier, a Montreal-based Marketing School. A graduate of HEC Montreal, Marjoriespecializes in sales promotion, event marketing, and sponsorships. In 2009, Marjorie had launched Marjorie’s Closet a fashion and lifestyle blog offering web marketing services to fashion brands, hotels, and bars in Montreal. Now, as co-founder and owner of Grind Atelier, she teaches a unique brand identity method to entrepreneurs on the grind.
In this episode, we discuss Marjorie's journey from wearing all-purple outfits in elementary school, through her party days and her hardcore professional life, to her burnout - all things that led her to where she is today.

An Accessible Ottawa. Period.
Chisomo Fatima Nguluwe took funemployed to another level in 2017 when she found Ottawa's Homeless Period, a community initiative with an aim to providing homeless women in Ottawa with Feminine hygiene products. Following her why and her heart, Chisomo landed a job that aligned with her values, and continues to look to the future, increasing opportunities for women while flexing her entrepreneurial muscles.

Cystic Fibrosis & Advocacy with Chelsea Gagnon
Chelsea Gagnon swallows 20 to 30 pills per day or 10,000 pills a year. The 29-year-old has cystic fibrosis (CF): her body produces thick, sticky mucous that clogs her lungs, making it hard to breathe. The disease makes her prone to sinus and lung infections such as bronchitis and pneumonia. Eventually, chronic inflammation triggered by repeated infections will damage her lungs. But, despite her illness, Chelsea is a brave advocate for awareness and for treatment of her disease. Chelsea’s main focus in her advocacy currently is getting Orkambi covered throughout all Canadian provinces. Medications like Orkambi are very costly and, with many people with disabilities are unable work and/or are living below the poverty belt, they aren’t able to access them. “Access to healthcare is a fundamental right [but] bureaucracy currently prevents everyone from accessing it in a fair manner”.
