The Goat Farm is a small family owned business that does a fabulous job marketing their products.

I first met them on the alternative social media network, Gab. They have a fabulous group and are quite active on the social platform.

Here is some the text from the interview:

This is Lisa from Inspire to Thrive. In today's podcast, I have a guest for everyone. I chose The Goat Farm. I love their products and I love the way they've been doing their marketing and social media.

I first met them over on the Alternative Gab network and they have joined X (Twitter) recently. So I wanted to welcome Heather and she has her two children with her.

Hi, Heather.

Hi. And I'll have my two kids introduce themselves too. I'm Madison and I'm Hunter.

Hi,

Madison and hi, Hunter. I have a dog named Hunter. That's so funny,

I heard you. Yep. I have noticed that on on X. Yeah. 1s And, yeah, my husband, he's out
working the farm right now, so he's out and about.

Oh, great. So, yeah, I see you started the business. Was it around 2018 or 2019?

Well, we got our first goat in 2018 and he was a buck. A few months later in 2019, we got our first doe, and she gave birth later in that year. And then we started just having way too much milk to know what to do with. We were making homemade ice cream and butter, but still couldn't consume it faster than we were getting it in.

So we went to our local feed store owner and he suggested that we make goat milk soap and sell it at his store. And we started doing that. And then in 2021, we started our online business.

So it's only been since 2021?

Yes.

Wow. That's awesome. You guys have done such a such a fabulous job.

Was Gab the first social network that you joined?

Yes, a hunk was the original. Yeah. June of 2021. And that's also when we created our website and started selling online. And and Gab supporters have just been amazing. They really have helped us become the business that we are. And then we then we added on, MeWe, then Truth social. And then just lately X and Instagram as well.

That's so amazing.

Yeah, well, and it's also nice too, because we can I mean, obviously we we advertise, but we also share our farm too with the Good Morning Brigade and other groups. And so it's kind of fun to share our animals and see other people remembering the names of our animals. And so it's one way that we share our farm with others.

How many goats do you have now?

Well, ask the kids for that one. Right now we have about 20 and there should be some pregnant, so we'll have more soon. Yeah, that's what we're hoping.

What makes your goat soaps different from other goat's soaps?

Well, one,  I think a very big reason is that we use our own raw goat milk, and many goat milk makers use inferior canned goat milk or goat milk powder. And of course, in that process, some important nutrients enzymes, even probiotics that are responsible for lactic acid can be can be destroyed. And so that's one thing, one huge reason.

And of course, the reason for that is if you're using alternative goat milk, you don't have to you don't have to worry about storage for the goat milk. You don't have to worry about having land or goats or any of that or vet bills.

But because we have our own goats, you know, we are able to to know that they're fed well and that we're producing quality raw goat milk in our soaps.

So when you started the farm, did you think the business would go into this?

No, we were just homesteading. No, we never thought that at all. And again, it was literally a kind of a dilemma. We had created a business opportunity, and even then we didn't think it would really go anywhere. But it has. And then we've kind of expanded and
obviously as we've expanded, our goal now is to provide. Healthy natural skin
care because we've always been health minded.

We have been really careful with what we but we weren't always extremely careful with what we put on our bodies, because natural skinca
