Awaken Your Shaman Josh Snyman

Your body has wisdom; it has the capacity to heal itself through the power of meat (mind), movement (body) and mindfulness (soul).
With all the nuances around nutrition, exercise and spirituality, it’s easy to get lost. The simple approach is a non-approach. You don’t need another guru, self-improvement book or year-long silent retreat. When you listen to your inner shaman, you naturally feel compelled to eat an ancestrally aligned diet of mostly meat, integrated with the daily practice of movement and mindfulness.
MEAT for the MIND.
MOVEMENT for the BODY.
MINDFULNESS for the SOUL.

Raine Dunn on Breast Implant Removal Surgery, San Pedro Plant Medicine (& Best Practices), Asking for Help, Eating Disorders and More
For the last decade, Raine has been on a mission to help people find expansion in their lives through holistic wellbeing: physical, mental and spiritual. This journey of course started within, with my own healing, and then expanded outwards in my career teaching movement, meditation and healthy eating, as well as practising energy healing. Through this journey of self-discovery I have come to learn that my core purpose is to use my voice, both spoken and written, to facilitate healing for others.

You Have the Power to Change Your Health, How to Live Fully & Rain Dunn on The Enlightening Effects of Breast Implant Removal
Quote I’m Contemplating
Life can only grow outward in proportion to how stable it is inward
You may believe that living life to the fullest is seeing every country in the world and quitting your job on a whim and falling recklessly in love, but really it’s just knowing how to be where your feet are. It’s learning how to take care of yourself, how to make home within your own skin. It’s learning how to build a simple life you are proud of. A life most fully lived is not always composed of the things that rock you awake, but those that slowly assure you that it’s ok to slow down. That you don’t always have to prove yourself. That you don’t need to fight forever or constantly want more. That it’s ok for things to be just as they are. And when those big moments come, which they will, you’ll feel them in a way you couldn’t before. You’ll experience them in a way you didn’t before. You’ll appreciate them because you’ll be able to fully be in them. Little by little you will begin to see that life can only grow outward in proportion to how stable it is inward - that if the joy is not in the little things first, the big things don’t fully find us.

You Have the Power to Change Your Health
Without good health, it's impossible to enjoy life fully. It's become the norm for people to spend life feeling sick, exhausted, in pain, popping pills, & just surviving. Why wouldn't you do everything in your power to change this? Sadly, most don't believe they have the power.

From Anxiety-Ridden to Thriving
Hey Josh I found your account via —’s Instagram. I had to subscribe straight away your approach to living, healing and thriving really resonated with me. I have been on a long journey myself, finding depth and growth in physical exercise (mostly yoga and long hikes), meditation, and proper nutrition (mostly animal-based) which has led me from being an anxiety-ridden wreck ruled by an eating disorder, barely able to function in the world, to now working as a doctor and trying to help other people on their paths as best I can. I thought I would reach out to you because so many things you mention, the books and the words of wisdom you share, have also found a place in my soul (Gabor Maté! Nietzsche!) I hope you have a wonderful Sunday. Looking forward to reading your newsletter. I will check out the youtube channel later. All the best, —

Why "Food Freedom" Is a Fallacy
Freedom is counterintuitively found in giving MORE FUCKS. Being vulnerable. Putting yourself out there. Allowing people to see your healing journey as an extension of you - not a pulling away.
The fact is that the modern world, with its proliferation of hyper-palatable foods designed by scientists and billion-dollar marketing firms, demands you to be disciplined. It requires you to become a modern stoic. You are either going to fall for the false pleasures and quick fixes or drop into the pain of healing and long-term health.
This will make more sense if you listen to the audio version of this newsletter and follow me on Instagram where I posted this Instagram Reel.

Passivity (not activity) is the Root of Life, Returning to the Nature & The Power of Stopping
Quote I’m Contemplating
The Power of Stopping
Stopping helps strengthen the muscle of patience that will permit you to return to the project again and again, and thus to sustain your productivity over an entire career.

The Root Cause of Disease with Zach Bush, How to Touch Non-Fear & Oat Milk? they don't do that in Paris...
Quote I’m Contemplating
How to Touch Non-Fear
We have a great, habitual fear inside ourselves. We’re afraid of many things - of our own death, of losing our loved ones, of change, of being alone. The practice of mindfulness helps us touch non-fear. It’s only here and now that we can experience total relief, total happiness. Sorrow, fear, and depression are like a kind of garbage. But these bits of garbage are a part of real life, and we must look deeply into their nature. We can practice so as to turn these bits of garbage into flowers. We should not throw anything out. All we have to do is learn the art of composting, of transforming our garbage into flowers"

The Root Cause of Disease Nobody Talks About
This has been one of the best podcasts I’ve listened to. Zach Bush weaves together so many threads in this that it’s actually a little overwhelming at times. But give it the time it deserves. Bottom line: now more than ever, we need to get back into nature to heal ourselves and the planet (and by ‘back into nature’ I don’t mean going vegan and supporting big food agenda — what I do mean is taking your shoes off and feeling the Earth’s vibrations; allowing the soil and rich air to coinhabit your vulnerable animal flesh).
