Left On Red: Thought-Provoking Commentary by Trevor Cooper Left on Red

"Come This Far By Faith," episode seven of Left on Red, shifts to the conversation to the value and need of faith. Host Trevor Cooper interviews special guest, Minister Melanie Turner, co-founder of  Impact Fellowship Church. The pair discusses the Christian church's direction and function and how Christians are navigating the disruptions of 2020.

Left on Red host Trevor Cooper returns from hiatus with episode six, "Black Messiah." Cooper takes a reflective look back over the year while examining America's greatest ill, white supremacy. He discusses the pain and injustice caused to marginalized and oppressed groups in the country, compounded amid the COVID-19 pandemic, high profile police brutality cases coinciding within a highly polarizing political year.

In the fifth installment of Left on Red, host, Trevor Cooper connects the dots from episodes one through four into the poignant mid-season finale aptly entitled "Amazing Grace." Cooper again traces the blood trail of African bodies who met their demise at the hands of racists and systemic racism in America while providing another personal anecdote of his experience as a Black man in America. 

In the fourth installment of Left on Red, host Trevor Cooper takes listeners on a deep dive into American history to the period after the Reconstruction Era. A time of continued injustice and violence against African Americans. 

Cooper juxtaposes the carnage many Blacks experienced with a personal example of resilience and grit demonstrated through a relative within his family lineage. 

He then bridges the gap between the late 19th century to today as it relates to systemic racism within financial institutions and empowers listeners with a message of faith, hope, and liberation.

In the third installment of "Left on Red: Thought-Provoking Commentary by Trevor Cooper, he takes listeners on the journey of what was the transatlantic slave trade from Europe, Africa, to the Americas. He provides a perspective of how enslaved Africans built and fueled the United States economy to the history behind the slogan, "In God We Trust," inclusion on the country's currency.  Cooper also shares his findings regarding his ancestry and, ultimately, his pilgrimage back across the Atlantic Ocean to the Motherland, Africa.

In episode two of Left on Red: Thought-Provoking Commentary, host Trevor Cooper delves into the rich cultural underpinnings of Black Americans before slavery. He then threads the figurative needle weaving his narrative of the establishment of Historically Black Colleges and Universities, their impact on his life, and his first experience of having the police weaponized against him due to race as a teenager in South Carolina.
