About the Podcaster: Tilly is an RN, Mental Health Practitioner, & survivor of DV, having almost lost her life. She was fortunate to see a perpetrator imprisoned, but this is not the reality for most. Having worked as a radio announcer years ago, she is excited to bring you this podcast.     *Trigger warning- Discussions of suicide* Please google for helplines in your country if anything is triggering in this episode. xx After seeing on Tik Tok and Reddit the information that has come to light about the tragic passing of Mica Miller in the US, I have changed today's topic to this. It was important to share what happened to both myself and the victim prior to me in order to show how Suicide can be part of DV. It's a long episode as I go into detail about the one before me who did end up attempting to take her life and then what was done to me. If coercive control is being made illegal in many countries, the psychological warfare and direct conscious push by these abusers should eventually be able to be criminalised. While they did not complete the task they set it up, much like ordering a hit. While we don't expect them to be charged with murder, the prevalence of this needs to be studied so some justice can be given to the countless families who lose loved ones in this way. RIP to Mica and many condolences to her family and friends.
