While I was stuck in the hospital in 2018 I started getting tremendous support from friends all over the world, all I could think about was how I wanting to talk to them one more time. So then and there on that bed I could even get out of I decided I wanted to start a podcast, not just any podcast but a traveling podcast! I wanna talk to people from all walks of life. Musicians, writers, chefs, teachers, doctors, entrepreneurs etc. Any one who has sacrifice a little to do what they love has a story to tell and I wanna hear it!

I got another van interview for you! This one is coming from Chicago, IL. Jeff Berman of Divided Heaven is sitting next to me in the Avenues tour van, Van Burgandy. We had a good talk about the old days and all the good things to come. Jeff is really a great dude and I’m super pumped I finally got him on the podcast. Now don't let the name confuse you, Divided Heaven is no holy band sent here to do the Lord's work or anything like that. Although I will admit their newest record, Cold War, really helped out while I was recovering in Texas in 2018. I love this band and love this dude. Can’t wait to have him on the show again! Welcome to The Underground.

If you haven't seen or even heard about Bridge City Sessions where have you been? Not only do they host musicians with live performance recordings, they are also some of the most hospitable crew I’ve ever been around. The man behind it all is the very cool, very handsome, Nick Wilson! I was lucky enough to get Nick on the podcast while I was in Portland. To say this guy is a determined hard worker would be an understatement. The platform that he has created for bands is nothing short of truly admirable. With a thousand live videos and counting, Nick and the crew are definitely making their mark on the music scene. We talked about future bands that will be coming through as well as the bands that would be a dream to work with. I even got him to admit he likes a few Justin Bieber tunes. Nick is definitely a great guy and I really enjoyed my spending a couple days with him and the Bridge City Sessions crew. This one is for Dab Dad, Welcome to The Underground.

This one has been a long time in the making! So happy to have sat down with The Smoking Popes drummer, Live From The Rock Room host, The Bigger Empty frontman, and my friend, Mike Felumlee. We covered everything from learning to play the drums to his time spent playing with Alkaline Trio. We honestly could have talked for hours. Mike has been doing so much for the music scene with his amazing live concert series Live From The Rock Room, I highly recommend checking it out. We even recorded this podcast there! Definitely won't be the last time I’ll have Mike on the show. So here it is, Welcome to The Underground.

If there was a Hall of Fame for Women that Rock, Bobbie Kleman would be a First Ballot Hall of Famer! Bobbi is the lead singer of Austin TX, thrash punk band, HELLFURY! I got a chance to meet up with her right before the band’s trip to Blackpool England for this year’s Rebellion Fest. We talked about how the band got started, some do’s and don'ts, as well as how hard it is when you have to replace band members. Bobbie is living proof that if you put in the work the old school way, good things will come of it. She owns her own business as a hairstylist and still finds new ways to better herself and her career. Wish them well on their trip to England, and don’t forget to catch HELLFURY in Texas once they return. Welcome to The Underground.

Sometimes you meet people on your travels that inspire you in a way you never knew possible. Noelle Shuck is one of those people. She plays guitar in the very killer punk rock band, SHEHEHE out of Athens, GA. The first time I saw SHEHEHE was in 2014. I was on a very long tour and I knew at the end of that tour I wanted to start a new band. I didn’t know what kind of band it was going to be at the time until I was blown away with Noelle and her entire band! Thus the idea to start Knockin Bones was born. I caught up with Noelle in Bloomington IL for this years Midwest Punk Fest. We hopped in the back seat of the van to make podcast magic. This one’s a banger! Welcome to The Underground.

Molly Mess, and her band, Some Kind of Nightmare bring new meaning to the phrase “road warrior”. To say she's a hard working musician would be an understatement. Not only does the band tour almost all year round, they do it all on their own with little to no support from major or indie labels. She is a mean bass player with a kind heart. Molly’s attitude towards playing music for the love of it continues to show every single night. She is a breast cancer survivor and one of the strongest women I’ve ever met. I’ve known Molly since our first show together in 2009 at Rooster's Road-House in Alameda, California. Since then we have played countless shows together in cities all over the country. I love her and Some Kind of Nightmare, so be sure to catch them when they come through your town. Trust me, they are coming soon! Welcome to the underground.
