Let me take you to the dance floor. House shall be played and house shall be shared! My name is Heidi Mortenson aka Phtalo and I'm gonna delve into the joy of discovering dance music from back when synths and drum machines became available for young people with bedroom studios and turntables. I'll reveal a line up of electronic inspiration through the decades. We'll talk about the tracks played and nerd out a little on the music production. Mostly I'll fill up your haus with house and electronic magic, maybe you'll dance in the kitchen, soothe your mood while working, or just cool & calm nod your head while on the U-bahn. Welcome to a place for music lovers of all genders & colors. Mi casa es tu casa!

Spring Reverb Time
Here we are, green is folding out and sun is coming through. It's Spring reverb time, if you know what I mean. So let's lower our shoulders and enjoy being seduced by music. It's a mixed bag of fresh. We enter effortlessly and go deep, the frost is no more and the peaks are building. As we go through the playlist you will hear the sound of wooden organ pipes with sailor vibes. Laurie says language is a virus. Look at me! Look at me! Look at me! On this musical journey we finally arrive to watch the desert bloom. Welcome to a new episode of My House In Your Haus.

Dub and Birds
Hello again, it's me again, how are you? Well, you can start relaxing now, this episode will hug you with a dubby feeling and calm you with bird song. Did you know that bird song has been proven to be one of the most calming sounds. It signals safe surroundings and peace. What you can't get in the real world you must seek to experience else where, but look no further, you've come to the right place. Grab your hammock and allow yourself to surrender to tender dubby sounds. We start off with bird song recorded onto reel to reel, then slowed down so the human ear can hear the melodies hidden in the natural fast chirps. Greetings and welcome!

Save Me
Three short beeps, three long beeps and three short beeps again, is the morsing code for SOS. We enter February with singing into transmission in only a couple of minutes, the zerspannungs- modulator is all turned up in the warehouse in Utrecht, where the morsing code arrives like a prophecy, and is human like us. We throw our desperate wish into the universe in the hopes that we’ll be heard and helped. Everyone needs a base, a home, a safe place where they can rest, thrive and reload their battery. In a fair society, perhaps matriarch, this would be a human right. I wish for capitalism to be destroyed by aliens. I wish to dismantle the power of all leaders in this world. I’d send them to the warehouse and with music reprogram their mind to peace, love and harmony.

Life
Welcome to the new year's first episode of MHIYH. We dig deep, we find a voice, we float. Life is life-like with a mix of joy and grief, and sometimes we need to lift up and zoom out. Bells are bringing us closer to a higher state of conciousness. Hallucinate if you like, find balance in god's chariots and saddle up that heavenly rise and be above. Follow the rhythm and sound. We enter the year quietly and telepathycally. A connection in the night. You'll see the outline as a beam of lights.

Merry TR-909
Hold on to your britches bitches, the 909 is banging beautifully with it’s tom toms and pom poms, like a set of alternative xmas bells. This is the last episode of the year! Take a deep breath, you did it! Lots of soft presents under the techno tree. Among other goodies there’s an unreleased track as fresh as cookies out of the oven. If you don’t know the 909 this is a good opportunity to get introduced to one of the most iconic drum machines since the birth of Jesus Christ and Santa. Hop on to the sleigh and let me take you on a joy ride out of the shadows. Show me love and can you feel it, it’s all gonna snow down on you in this episode. Strap yourself in for a halleluja.

Smell this Cologne
We go minimal and controlled with the Germans, in particular Köln (Cologne). Home of all tracks kompakt und profan. The art of putting together a meal of just a few ingredients, that works. Also it’s moonday. We get to feel the vinyl dust and stunning synth stabs through a dubby delay over heavy bass notes that drag along the floor. But don’t worry, right after this experience you’ll meet a happy-go-lucky track that makes you wonder if it even has a time frame. I’ve collected these german gems to shine on you. Super geil. Genau.
