This week TeKesha Smith and I discuss childhood trauma. Specifically, I share my story as a complex trauma survivor and how I learned to recognize it by recognizing my own adult patterns of behavior. This episode may be triggering as I do discuss some detail of the traumatic events and how it actually changes you as a person. I'm sharing some of the methods I've used in my healing process. I hope this helps someone else. One of the most important parts of being a Certified Peer Specialist is supporting peers by sharing your own journey so I share my story so others will know that they are not alone in this journey.
