    This is part B of our two part series on "The History Of - WA Country Week Cricket, with Bill Reynolds". In this episode we continue to hear Bills incredible journey with capturing the history, the players, the teams and the results of the past 117 years of WA Country Cricket and Senior Mens Country Week. Part B focuses on Bills amazing book - 100 Not Out, which is effectively the only existing comprehensive history of WA Country Cricket. Bill and host Rob Marshall, discuss things such as the different styles of Cricket played at Senior Mens Country Week, going back to 1907. They also dive deep into what was a "Captain Call" approach to matches for the first 70 years of the competition. What era's produced the best players and the best teams, including associations that don't even exist any more are examined. Bill also reveals how he sees the way that Country Week has evolved over the years and his incredible and unique methods to capture records for over 24,000 players across those years. In this Part A of a two part interview, we find out who Bill Reynolds is and why it is that his work over more than 6 decades has captured every run, wicket and catch of more than 20,000 players to have played Senior Mens Country Week Cricket in WA. It is hard to put into words, how much work this one individual has put into compiling the most concise and incredibly accurate compilation of statistics of players going back over 100 years. Bill's book, "100 Not Out" released in 2007, is viewed as the Bible when it comes to WA Country Cricket and it is across this episode and Part B (soon to follow), that will amaze you as you listen to how it all came together and the legends and magic moments of Senior Country Week, that it has captured along the way. This is "must listen" stuff.

    The March long weekend of 2024 saw the hosting of the annual Senior Womens Country Week Carnival in the Bunbury, Leschenault and Harvey Regions of WA Country. In what turned out to be an outstanding 3 days of Cricket across two grades, the final of the Womens A section in particular resulted in one of the greatest finishes seen in WA Country Cricket history. In this episode of Out on the Paddock, you can hear or relive how it all unfolded and ended up, with live commentary of the dramatic final ball. Also in this episode, is an interview with a very passionate Cricket lover and somebody who is impacting WA Country Cricket through her work at WA Cricket - Alex Lascu.
