Today's guest is one of the best interviews around - Charlottesville High School sharpshooter Jake Bowling! Jake sits down with Jay to recap the highs, lows and everything in between of the wild 2019-20 high school basketball campaign in Central Virginia. Jake is a true student of the game, and offers some great insight of the "little things" last season that turned out to be significant. Finally, Jake shows off his knowledge of basketball history that is well beyond his years, and at the end, reveals his favorite four basketball games in is life, both as a player and fan.

Week two of Piedmont Sports Daily begins with a great chat with Kevin Doyle, a youth sports coach and/or parent for the last two-plus decades. Kevin is also a professor in Longwood University's Counselor Education program, as well as a part-time professional counselor. In the last twenty-plus years, Kevin has seen the good, the bad and the ugly of parenting in youth sports. He is currently writing a book directed youth sports parents, in an effort to encourage them to remember the most important thing of all - it's about the kids! To conclude, we look back to happier athletic times in this week's Mount Rushmore, as we name our top four all-time classic games.

On today's podcast, we have TWO very special guests from Western Albemarle: Erin Meier (Senior, 3-time state soccer champion) and Amber Parker (Junior, Soon-to-be 4th year varsity volleyball player). Erin opens by recounting the last three years for WAHS girls soccer, the four-peat quest that should be happening right now, and her future. Amber joins us later to give an inside look at the WAHS volleyball program, and reveals the ways in which the coronavirus pandemic is currently affecting more teams than just the spring sports programs. We also learn how the girls are staying in shape during these crazy times, and what snack foods are on their Mount Rushmore.

Jay and Steve welcome Boo Agee (Covenant Class of 2013) onto the set, Founder and Head of Production at VATLA Visuals. VATLA plays a key role in generating exposure for Central Virginia's high school athletes, as they attempt to showcase their skill sets for coaches and scouts at the next level. Boo discusses his BIG event coming up for the Charlottesville community, a local all-star event - featuring a three-point contest, dunk contest, and all-star game - for the top boys basketball players in the area. At the end, we hear Boo's Mount Rushmore of snack foods, which Jay and Steve compare and contrast to their own.
