Heb. 7:1 10. In this study, Pastor Mick walks thru the beginning of Hebrews 7. We look at the strange character, Melchizedek, and his interaction with Abraham in Gen. 14. We also see the response of Abraham to give him a tithe, so Mick explains a bit of the Tithing practice and principle. More to come in part 2.

Hebrews 2023 - 16 "Two Unchangeable Things" - In this study, Pastor Mick walks thru the next section, Heb. 6:13-20, which brings attention to the promise, oath, and purpose of God. First God's faithfulness to His promise is seen with Abraham, and then with His oath about two things, both dealing with Jesus Christ, which result in absolute assurance of hope of eternal life.

Hebrews 2023 - 15 "Assurance of Hope" - In this study, Pastor Mick walks thru the next section, Heb. 6:7-12, which brings attention to the possibility to live with the full assurance of salvation. He reviews the earlier warning with the writer's conclusion that he was indeed convinced of better things. It's a study about anchoring our faith in the finished work of Christ, rather than the fickle feeling of man.

Hebrews 2023 - 14 The Big Warning - In this study, Pastor Mick walks thru Heb. 6:4-6, which includes the Big Warning of Falling Away. Mick shares different theological views of the passage as well as what he feels is the most consistent view biblically. He also shares Paul's imput from Gal. 1 & 5 which illustrates what "falling away" actually looks like.

In this study, Pastor Mick teaches through Heb. 6:1-2. We see the call to press on to maturity, building on the 6 element foundation the writer identifies. Mick share the 1st century Jewish perspective of each item which was very prevalent in the Old Covenant, and it's corresponding fulfillment in the New Covenant with Jesus the Messiah.

Pastor Mick continues the study in Hebrews 5, starting with verse 2, looking at the description of Jesus Our Great High Priest. In this study we see the godly purpose of the O.T. priesthood and look at how Jesus, though not of the tribe of Levi, was qualified to be the Greater High Priest.
