The prayer/intention used for Confirmation Bias, as heard on Episode 1, Season 2 of Learning How to See.

Brian: Source of all truth,
Mike: help me to hunger for truth,
Gigi: even if it upsets, modifies, or overturns what I already think is true.
Paul: Guide me into all the truth I can bear,
Brian: and stretch me to bear more,
Mike: so that I may always choose the whole truth — even with disruption —
Gigi: over half-truths with self-deception.
Paul: Grant me passion to follow wisdom wherever it leads.

Mike: Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
Brian: help me not be seduced by simple lies
Gigi: or repelled by complex truths.
Paul: Instead, teach me to seek out understanding as if it were hidden treasure,
Mike: digging deep beneath surface appearances
Gigi: to discover what is real in the depths.

Gigi: Inspirer of holy boldness and humble bravery,
Mike: give me the humility to learn from my community
Paul: along with the courage differ graciously from my community,
Brian: seeking truth even when my companions are unwilling to see it or accept it.
Gigi: Help me remain humbly loyal to the truth
Mike: even when I am misjudged and rejected by my community for doing so.

Brian: whom I am tempted to dismiss as strange, difficult, or unfriendly.

Gigi: do not let me be satisfied to see only what is visible from my limited perspective.
Mike: Grant me insatiable curiosity to understand
Brian: what my neighbors can see from their different vantage points.
Gigi: Help me draw near to them, to walk with them,
Mike: to see through their eyes, hear through their ears,
Brian: and feel through their experience,
Paul: so our shared horizons will be broadened.

Mike: give me humility so that I do not overestimate my competence.
Gigi: Save me from both excessive confidence and a lack of confidence;
Brian: instead, please grant me proper confidence,
Paul: to see myself, my abilities, and my limitations
Gigi: with a clear eye and sound mind.
