The QT Cast is a podcast hosted by the staff at the Cal Poly Pride Center. Our goal is to help create and sustain a sense of community within the LGBTQ+ community at Cal Poly and in SLO, even though we may not be able to see each other in person (social distancing matters!). Biweekly, the hosts chat about topics of queer interest or put a queer spin on broader social topics, while keeping up-to-date on relevant news, events, and pop culture. On this episode of the QT Cast, we go deeper into our discussion about what it's like to be Asian AND LGBTQ+! (If you haven't listened to our previous episode, go do that now!) This time, our guests share some of their experiences with getting a handle on their identities, dating, etc. There are lots of boxes to unpack! On this episode of the QT Cast, we are joined by several special guests to talk about what it's like to be Asian AND LGBTQ+! We discuss our experiences at the intersection of queer and trans and Asian identities as well as the histories of non-cisgender and non-heterosexual people in Asian cultures pre- and post-colonialism.
