It's been over a month since I last uploaded and my goodness, a lot has happened!  From Russia attacking Ukraine, to Omicron surges in several countries like South Korea and China, and crazy powercut schedules in Myanmar, it seems like no one can catch a break! This episode might not be the most coherent, but hopefully, it gives you some insight into how 2022 has played out so far for the people of Myanmar. In the spirit of ~love~ and Valentine’s Day, my friend and I sat down to explore the topic of dating and sex in Myanmar and shared some unique perspectives and personal experiences. It was a sweet walk down memory lane for both of us, followed by a ton of giggling trying to recall old memories from high school. I’m hoping that the 90’s babies will be able to relate to this episode. Tune in for some giggles and laughs!

Without a doubt, this past year has been a tumulous year for the people of Myanmar - and today, February 1, 2022, marks one year since the Tatmadaw (the military) staged a coup d'etat in Myanmar. It has been a long and painful year like no other, but the fight for democracy continues in the hearts of many people. This episode is a personal one, where I reflect on certain aspects of my personal life. I hope this episode resonates with some of you out there. 

May this revolution succeed. 

I finally get to talk about something that I love, which is books! My friend and I sat down to discuss some of the books we've read so far about Myanmar. In addition to books, we also briefly mentioned two films that are about Myanmar. I highly recommend you to check it out!

Wrapping up 2021 with episode 7! This episode is a bit personal since you will be hearing a few details about me (your host), how Sagarwine came to be and how the coup has affected the way I have had to manage this podcast.
