Episode 7: The Chaos Within (Speaking to Someone with Depression)

Episode 7: The Chaos Within (Speaking to Someone with Depression)

The podcast is called Saichology 101. It's a wordplay on my name and the study of human behavior. But it might not be until this episode that we actually come closer to breathing life into this moniker.

On this episode, my friend Al Saiden and I discuss some of our deepest, darkest, and most chaotic thoughts and feelings — one that we sure mask well enough to make you believe they are not there.

Caveat: We are not speaking here on the POV of human behavior experts, but merely as two people having gone through depression or is still on the process of overcoming it.

    Episode 6: She's the Maan!

    Episode 6: She's the Maan!

Maria Anna "Maan" Espinosa is a good old friend. To this day, she is the only person I personally know of who has worked in the Supreme Court so I was so excited to speak to her about this (and maybe get a little insider intel? HAHA jk)

But I know that beyond that, she has reached even far greater heights in terms of helping others grow their wings so that they too can learn to fly. Together with her village of a support system, she managed to earn her Juris Doctor Degree in San Beda all while maintaining a demanding full-time job, taking care of her son, and pursuing her advocacy on youth and women empowerment.

But her story is far from finished, in fact she is just about to take off beginning with the #BestBarEver  this November.

Listen and be inspired at how this girl from Tondo has flown high above what society expected she could only reach.

PS: This is probably one of the episodes I will always be proud of.

    Episode 4: Failing Forward

    Episode 4: Failing Forward

I must admit, my last episode was a bit embarrassing.

I've had some really invalid excuses. But why am I feeling better about this week's failure than the last? That's what I process in this episode.

I had another terrible exam just yesterday, but somehow, I am taking it more positively today. That's why this episode is entitled FAILING FORWARD— we move forward from that failure, and that failure allows us move further.

    Also,

This is the first time I've tried dividing an episode into segments so that you can just skip the parts you're not interested in hearing :p
