SMALL TALK | How you are contributing to small talk even though you despise it‪.‬ Unpacking Myself

    • Self-Improvement

Almost everyone says they hate small talk but what they don’t realize is that they are an active participant in creating “small talk.” I’m not going to undermine your intelligence and give you specific questions to ask, to avoid small talk but I will tell you why we end up doing so much small talk and how we contribute. While a lot of people complain about small talk, I noticed that somehow I was managing to have meaningful conversations with people I had just met or people I was only talking to for 15 minutes. So I had to reflect and figure out how and why this was happening. In this episode, I share what has worked for me many, many times and encourage you to reflect on how you approach conversations and how you could make a few tweaks to have more meaningful conversations. The exciting part is that it is in your control!
