In an episode inspired by activist and lawyer Bryan Stevenson, Anisha and Alex talk with Elizabeth Alcantar, an organizer, and activist from Southeast Los Angeles about the importance of proximity and humility in organizing.

Ensure language justice at your events! (Provide translation services, materials in languages common in the community, etc.)
If you're in charge, hire organizers and other staff from the communities you're looking to work in. If you're not in charge, push your organization to adopt better hiring practices!
Be humble when organizing in a community other than your own. Be prepared to do a lot of listening!
