The NBA conference finals are upon us and In this episode, Jack and Geegs take a deep dive into the final 4 and what it means having the same 4 teams from the bubble in 2020, and how compelling this Laker run is and what a title might mean for LeBron's legacy.  They debate who will victorious out of the Lakers defense anchored by Anthony Davis vs. Denver's loaded offense led by Nikola Jokic and a hungry Nuggets squad. They also go to the east and see how much of a chance Miami has to upset Boston and to continue this historic run led by Jimmy Buckets in a rematch of last years East finals vs. Jayson Tatum, coming off a historic Game 7 performance, and a Celtics squad looking for its first title together. 👀

They also discuss the future's of each of the 4 teams who were just sent home packing. Including Where the Suns go with Durant and Booker following the dismissal of Coach Monty Williams. Did the Knicks overachieve, underachieve, or play to expectations. Do the Warriors need to say goodbye to Klay or Draymond or do they move their young pieces instead. How we’ve missed you guys! In this episode of the pod, Jack & Geegs Break down the NBA trade deadline and share who they think is the biggest winners and losers of the week 👀 

This week proved to be one of the craziest trade deadlines in NBA history highlighted by the fall of the Brooklyn Nets with Kyrie Irving headed to Dallas to join forces with Louka and friends, and his counterpart Kevin Durant departing to the valley of the sun shortly after to form what will be his third super team alongside CP3, Devin Booker, and Deandre Ayton 🧁🧁🧁 

We also shared our thoughts on several teams in the west improving including the Lakers parting ways with Russell Westbrook, the clippers making several upgrades, and the Warriors reuniting with a key role player, and every team trading at least 25 second round picks  📈

We also shared our thoughts on LeBron James passing Karim Abdul-Jabbar to claim the NBA’s all-time scoring record sharing our different perspectives on what we saw in person and on TNT‘s broadcast including our speculation on AD’s recent attitude and what it might mean.

It took us 3 games into the NBA season but here we are. After a disappointing 0-3 start highlighted by historically bad 3 pt shooting, is it time for the Los Angeles Lakers to panic. In this episode, Gego seperated all the teams into 5 tiers: the contenders, on the fringe, the pretenders, the frisky playoff contenders, and the Victor Wembanyama sweepstakes. All of this taking place during  the stress of a fantasy basketball draft that we both were a part of.
