Suicide rates have reached their highest point since WW2 according to a recent report by the US Center for Diseases and Control (https://time.com/5609124/us-suicide-r...). In 2017, 14 out of every 100,000 Americans died by suicide which is a 33% increase since 1999.
Male suicide rates remain more than 3 times as high as females highlighting that at some point in your life you're likely to be affected by male suicide. Female suicide rates (53%) are rising faster when compared to men (26%). Shockingly, the most rapidly rising group in terms of suicide is boys and girls aged 10-14 years old.
