    This month, March 2024, marks the 80th anniversary of the Great Escape.  Many people have heard about the mass escape of allied POWs from Stalag Luft III in March 1944 which was immortalised in book and film.  You may not know a lot about the Australian POWs who took part.  Canberra author Kristen Alexander joins us to tell us more.

    In 2023, the National Archives of Australia reached a significant milestone, having digitised more than one million World War II records.
    These records include names, photos, enlistments, movements, transfers, promotions and fates, which are now being made available online free-of-charge.
