The Educator's Mindset Podcast was created to help build a community for teachers where we open up about the highs and lows of being an educator in an ever-changing world. In this podcast we focus on mindset and work together to find flow and peace of mind inside and outside the classroom.
Protecting Your Energy
Do you ever feel completely depleted of energy? Like you hit a wall and didn't see it coming? As a teacher there are so many things that require our attention and focus day in and day out, it's understandable why teachers feel so tired and fried by the end of the day. But how can we protect our energy more, so we don't always feel like this? In this episode, I talk about ways we can identify our current energetic state and suggestions on how to make changes that are supportive instead of depleting. I suggest grabbing a pen and piece of paper for this one! It's a great one to journal with. If this episode resonates with you, I'd love to hear your takeaways! What's up, teach! Welcome back to The Educator's Mindset podcast. I hope you had a great winter holiday and are having a wonderful new year so far!As we get back into the school flow, I wanted to address a topic that has been showing up a lot lately, and that's negativity in the workplace. So, in this episode, I invited Alex Calderon, from 1stGenTeacherLens podcast, to share about his experiences with and what he does to combat negativity. Want to connect with Alex? My Why: Why Teaching? Why Podcasting?
Today I'm bringing you a SOLO episode about "My Why." Earlier this week, I asked what listeners and followers on Instagram wanted to hear, and many wanted me to share about why I got into teaching and why I got into podcasting. P.S. If you're on Instagram, send me a message. I'd love to chat! Alright, so I'm going to be real honest, I get pretty vulnerable in this episode. Plus, Nova interrupts. So, if you have a doggo at home, be warned haha. Anyways, listen in to hear about why I got into teaching and podcasting. A lot of this is only known by my closest loved ones. Thank you for inviting me to share today. I'd love to hear your WHY.
