Paul and Barnabas continue their first missionary journey to Psidian Antioch, where his message brings the whole city; he starts back in Egypt, leading up to Christ - but why? We take a deeper look into this passage and investigate "Let my people go..."

Saul (from this point forward known as Paul) and Barnabas come up against a magician named Bar-Jesus (Elymas), who, in a losing encounter against God, goes blind - but someone else sees the Light.

We continue with the rest of Acts chapter 12, looking at the death of Herod, the imprisonment - and miraculous freeing - of Peter, and something we'll call "The Battle of Ektenes" you may not have known was going on during all this.

In this passage, we take an interesting look into Herod Antipas (not Herod Agrippa from chapter 12), and some "close encounters" he had in his life that, despite his proximity, didn't make him a Christian.

We look at Acts 12:1-5, setting the stage for what comes next in the rest of chapter 12. James, the brother of John, is the first Apostle martyred. We learn about the 3 James's in the New Testament and which one this is, recap some of his life that led to this moment, and remember that despite his death, the Church cannot - and will not - fail.

We close out Acts chapter 11 with an in-depth look at the final four verses (27-30), and 4 points that we can take away from God's Word this weekend.
