    The Consumer Rights Act 2022 - An Interview with Dr. Fidelma White

    In this episode of the School of Law UCC podcast, Dr Fidelma White, Senior Lecturer in Law, speaks about the Consumer Rights Act 2022.



    Dr White was part of an expert group, the Sales Law Review Group which, back in 2011, in their Final Report to Government, recommended the enactment of a new separate Consumer Contract Rights legislation which now finds shape in the Consumer Rights Act 2022. 


    Subsequently, Dr White was a member of an Ad hoc Advisory Group which worked with the then Department of Jobs, Enterprise and
    Innovation to drafting of a Scheme for a Consumer Rights Bill 2015. 


    Most recently Dr White was invited to contribute to a Working Group in the Attorney General Office’s responsible for drafting of this
    new legislation.
