Welcome to the first ever episode of the Up in the Air podcast. In this episode, our guest is a dear friend, big sister ("ate") and mentor. We discuss her experience volunteering and working in the development sector, compassion fatigue, the value of serving others and participating in something beyond ourselves. We delve deeper into how to discover meaning in work and touch on the lessons learnt in the past 10 years of her career.

Hey there! 

Passion and purpose. These two aspects of our lives have been part of my reflections in the past few years. I'm sure it's the same with you. Is it enough to be passionate? How do I know what my purpose is? What happens when I reach my so-called "dream job"? 

Career, work, vocation. We can be so wrapped up by the question of what we should do that we forget why we have a vocation in the first place—to use our time, talent and treasure and bring glory to God. 

As St. Irenaeus once said, "The glory of God is man fully alive." I hope to introduce people from all walks of life and all around the world—people who will share their stories on their childhood dreams, self-growth, professional development and the reality of work. The blood, sweat and tears that comes with this pursuit and what it truly means to find meaning and fulfilment in what we do.
