Over there in Arabia #3: Revolutionary Lessons: Insights from Egypt to Germany Lange Rede kurzer Dschinn

    • Política

The so-called "Arab Spring" that changed the course of many dictatorships is now more than ten years old. However, the situation in Egypt does not show many traces of a successful uprising. The liberal students Hannes and Jannes are hence on their mission to dive deeper into understanding the mechanisms of a revolution. This is why they start interviewing an exiled journalist from the country: Hossam el-Hamalawy. While initially asking naive and colonialist questions about Egypt, they soon begin learning about the impact and hopes of an uprising and what the unchaining of oppression, even in Germany, might look like.
