But her Catholic hospital in B.C. opposes MAID and refuses to provide it, forcing O’Neill to be transferred elsewhere. Her father Jim O'Neill is now suing the hospital’s operator and the province, saying Samantha’s transfer caused unnecessary pain and denied his daughter a dignified death.
