Iraola Extends, And So Have We...

Iraola Extends, And So Have We...

Cherries fans couldn't hide their excitement on Monday as the news was announced that Andoni Iraola signed a contract extension at Vitality Stadium, signalling his intent to continue Bill Foley's vision at Vitality Stadium until the summer of 2026. The ripple effect of the signing could be huge, for a number of reasons.
In this podcast, Sam and Tom go over the weekend's loss against Brentford, a match which, whilst disappointing, enabled Cherries fans to celebrate a record-breaking season for the Premier League club.

    What Did Dom Do Wrong?!

    What Did Dom Do Wrong?!

This weekend, Bournemouth were outclassed, yet fans left the Emirates feeling outraged! It was clear to see that Arsenal were imperious. They were superior in every department, and the result against Cherries did not flatter them. They dominated us, their xG was better, and they created way more chances.
However, two decisions at the weekend frustrated Bournemouth fans, even raising the eyebrows of Gooners alike. A disallowed goal for the Cherries and a penalty that was gifted after a "challenge" which was unnaturally initiated by Kai Havertz proved to be the talking points of yet another poor weekend for VAR and the PGMOL.
Sam and Tom discuss ALL the VAR controversy whilst respecting Arsenal's dominance, and yes we do also mention THAT Ryan Christie challenge...

Another Win And An IMPOSSIBLE Question!

Another Win And An IMPOSSIBLE Question!

Cherries 3-0 win over Brighton saw Bournemouth rise up to tenth in the Premier League, but as the dust settles after a stunning Premier League win, the BBC got in touch with us to ask a question, and, put simply - we don't know how to answer it, so we need your help.

    A Thriller For Villa

    A Thriller For Villa

Bournemouth’s first half against Villa was cool, controlled, and but for a lapse in concentration in the stoppage time, it would have been comfortable - as most of the hosts early threats were being stubbed out.
With Dom Solanke’s eighteenth goal of the season in the bank - it was looking like Iraola's side would go in 1-0 up, but ex-Red Morgan Rogers had different ideas...
And this seemingly set the tone for a second half, as contrary to pre-match opinion, Cherries were actually the side that looked leggy, with Villa’s quality eventually shining through via goals from Diaby and Bailey - ensuring Emery’s saw off Boscombe with ease.
But where were the problems? Was anyone individually at fault?

    Dom-inant

    Dom-inant

Why are Manchester United fans happy to accept mediocrity? Which club does Dominic Solanke REALLY need to play for to be noticed by Gareth? How on EARTH will Tyler Adams work his way into a midfield duo as good as what Christie and Cook are?! And was that our most frustrating draw of the season?!
Sam and Tom untangle the weekend's game, where VAR was once again the star of the show...

Time To Put The Passports Away?

Time To Put The Passports Away?

Carlton Morris scored an injury-time winner for the Hatters as they saw off Bournemouth at the death to keep their hopes of Premier League survival alive. With Manchester City around the corner, it was a must win for the Hatters - so after a fantastic but fruitless first half, and THEN going a goal behind, the reaction from the home side was nothing short of spectacular - but it was an implosion of our own undoing.
Andoni usually gets a lot right, but whether forced or optional, the substitutions on the 60 minute mark changed Bournemouth's shape, and the invitation to the hosts was laid bare - which they accepted with open arms.
Other results means that Bournemouth's dream of European football may have been a tad premature - but with seven games to go, it's not impossible, so, is it time to put the passports away?
