This week we are talking about the low budget, deconstructed, slasher flick, In a Violent Nature. Our opinions are not perfectly aligned, but we can all agree on one thing…this movie has one of the most creative kills on 2024. So if you like horror, you should check it out, but if you want to stare, mouth agape, at one of the most excessively violent scenes of late, then you should also check out this movie. Either way, you should listen to our episode.

This week we are talking about new movies, one in theaters, and the other available on Netflix, Bad Boys: Ride or Die and The Hit Man. We enjoyed both movies well enough, so if you want to watch them and circle back to us, that’s okay. Can we please cool it with the stupid names. Every prequel or spinoff has to be saddled with the most awkward collection of words to loosely tie it tie the film to the source material, but no one cares. And if you think our biggest complaint about Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is the title, well do we have bad news for you.

Sometimes the conversations are the most entertaining for us when instead of completely disagreeing about movies, we just disagree about what random moment of the movie. This week seems to be that kind of episode, when we can’t help but get lost in the weeds as we discuss Abigail and The Fall Guy.

It was never our intention for there to be so much crossover in this episode, but it was kind of hard to avoid. Zack Snyder and Guy Ritchie are two directors who each have very specific styles that people have come to love or hate. This week we talk about their latest projects, and try to figure out where things went right, and where they went terribly, TERRIBLY wrong.

This week we are discussing another Godzilla movie, Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire. We spend too much time trying to figure out how you say the title of the film, and what it means. Opinions are split on this one, but that usually makes for better conversations. We all agree this movie is stupid, but it just depends on which flavor of stupid you like.
