Cursing Morning Meditation

    • Christianity

Have you ever been around someone who seemed unable to speak without cursing? Did you notice that these people often claim that they just can’t help themselves?I went to school with a boy who was always cursing and when someone would say something about it, he would tell us, “I can’t help it. Man, it just slips out before I know it.” Yet, I noticed that when his mother or the preacher would come around, he would stop his cursing immediately and would not say another word until his mother or the preacher left. The point is that most people are not nearly so helpless as they claim and could stop cursing if they wanted to. The Bible says, “Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth…” (Eph. 4:29). It also teaches that the mouth used for praising God should not be used to curse man who is made by God (James 3:9-10).
