The #MeToo Movement arrived in India in October 2018, exactly one year after its revival in the USA. All the manifestations of the movement marked the same event: predatory men were called out for their sexual misconduct by women across the spectrum. While some spoke out hoping to pursue justice, others raised their voices to be heard or to acknowledge another survivor’s story. Breaking the long silence, women exposed men from various positions of power in fields such as entertainment, literature, politics, media, academics, art and commerce.
