Where The People Aren't Jessie and Ali
-
- Comedy
We grew up watching Disney movies and now that we're in our thirties we figured it was time to take a closer look at the movies that defined our childhood. We'll discuss the origin of the stories, controversies surrounding the film and give you more information than you want about it's production.

Eurovision
Here's a bonus clip about Eurovision in honor of the sure-to-be-train-wreck of the American version as well as Apple's podcast support's inability to actually provide any support! Fingers crossed this will push our podcast to refresh on their system.... Otherwise, I hope those of you listening on superior platforms enjoy a couple more minutes of us rambling.

The Princess and the Frog: Of Mince and Men
Episode Notes
This week we're talking about The Princess and the Frog. The alligator doesn't have a butthole, Tiana is way too good for this asshole, and Disney straight up ignores the fact that this was in the middle of the Jim Crow era.

Million Dollar Duck: Capitalism, Animal Abuse, and Surprise Racism
Episode Notes
We're all in agreement that the last two years don't count, right? Cool.
Our latest episode is the truly terrible Million Dollar Duck. The story is terrible. The acting is terrible. The parenting is terrible. The tax advice we give you is probably terrible. The surprise racism is really terrible.
Anyway, don't watch this movie. We wish we hadn't.

The Rescuers Down Under: Gratuitous Violence and Bad Parenting
Episode Notes
Our third and final part of our unintended mouse movie series. We decided to jump right into The Rescuers sequel with The Rescuers Down Under. We delve into the inefficiencies of mouse society, question the existence of birds, and Ali is full of hot takes.

The Rescuers: Apparently Only Mice Care About Orphans
Episode Notes
Welcome to part two of our mouse themed episodes. Today we are talking about The Rescuers, a movie where the only people that seem to care about kidnapped orphans is a bunch of international mice. We talk about how little Disney cares about the source material, 70s slow jams, and Ali's dream house.

The Great Mouse Detective And The Dregs Of Rodent Colonialism
Episode Notes
If there are two things children love, it’s rodents and kidnapping. These two pastimes collide in 1986’s classic The Great Mouse Detective. In this episode we examine questions such as, in what capacity can mice perform military service? If you need a robotics engineer, should you just steal a toy maker and be mean to him? And how much is too much alcohol for a kids movie?
P.S. Jessie would sincerely like to apologize for her sound quality. She is a dummy and had her settings wrong and recorded through the laptop and not the nice headset that was bought specifically for podcasting.
