UN Security Council demands immediate end to siege of Sudan's El Fasher
The UN Security Council has called for an end to the RSF paramilitary's brutal siege of the Darfuri city of El Fasher. We hear rare testimony from one resident who managed to escape but whose family is still stuck in the gunfire and bombings. Also, it has been two years since M23 rebels captured DR Congo's major town of Bunagana, with no end in sight to the fighting. Plus we head to Elmina in Ghana, where the Edina Bakatue Festival is celebrating 500 years of history.

Also, as Ghana moves a step closer to unlocking millions in support from the International Monetary Fund by settling a deal to restructure debt owed to creditor nations, we hear from business leaders who are pitching for investment. Plus, Kenyan and Nigerian content producers who use Facebook and Instagram will be paid by Meta from this month.

Malawi's vice-president, nine others confirmed dead in plane crash
Saulos Chilima, the vice president of Malawi, and nine others were flying within the country on Monday morning when their aircraft disappeared from airport radars. Roughly 24 hours later, the wreck of a plane has been found with no survivors on board.

Sudan: RSF paramilitaries attack hospital in El Fasher, MSF says
Medics from international aid group Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF), who were working at the main hospital in the besieged Darfur city of El Fasher, say the facility has had to close after attacks from RSF fighters. The paramilitary group on one side of the brutal conflict engulfing Sudan reportedly raided the site on Sunday, opening fire on staff and patients.

Three Americans appear in court over failed coup attempt in DR Congo
Three Americans appear in court over last month's botched coup attempt in DR Congo. The defendants could be facing the death penalty after being accused of terrorism, murder and criminal association. Also, pro-democracy activists in Sudan say the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) have killed around 40 people in the city of Omdurman. Meanwhile, the African Union condemns the RSF for an attack on village in Al-Jazira state, which left 150 people dead, including 35 children. Finally, we see how on the Tunisian island of Djerba, one man is using AI to preserve his Muslim community's cultural heritage.
