On January 24th, I had my two year anniversary on testosterone! I took to instagram to celebrate and asked if anyone had any questions - so, I hope you all enjoy this episode where Cami and I dive deeper into some of them!

I KNOW! You’re sick of hearing about the election. I GET IT! But do you know why the LGBTQ+ folks in your life are a little (or a lot) scared this election cycle? Are we being dramatic? Do you know what the Supreme Court does? Have you ever heard of lobbying and how to do it? This week I’m joined by my friend Patrick to talk about the policies that keep me awake at night. Patrick is an advocacy and policy guru and walks me through what’s happened the last four years and what could happen if things continue as they are. I think everyone will learn something from this episode - whether you’re a proud republican, democrat, somewhere in the middle, nowhere on the spectrum OR if you’re queer, love someone queer, or just looking to learn a little bit. In this episode i'm joined by my friend Jess Upchurch. Jess recently posted on an Instagram story (@jessupchurch) that since coming out she has experienced pain and rejection from people of faith and that there was some pain that she needed to separate Jesus from. After she posted about it, I sent her a message asking if we could unpack some of it on the podcast and luckily, she agreed. Jess has been on my list of people I wanted to interview because of her story and experiences with international mission work, faith and coming out - and she did not disappoint as an awesome guest. I am so thankful for her and her vulnerability. Enjoy the episode!

This is a quick bonus episode - just checking in. I know the world feels like shit for a lot of us - just a reminder that you're not alone. As a side note: Obviously some people can’t be talked to in any way that is productive or safe for you. Protect yourself and your energy. Keep pushing toward the good.

We DID it! We recorded the episode with Bailey! The audio isn't the best because we were on a Zoom call, so I apologize for that. BUT this conversation was so fun, despite the heaviness of the topic. Bailey makes me laugh so much and has a real joy about her that is hard to miss if you're in her presence. I'm so proud of the person she is. Standing back and watching her grow over the course of her life has been one of my favorite things. I love this little shit head very, very much. Enjoy the episode!
