Opening statements are over in Hunter Biden's federal gun trial as the prosecution tries to prove that he was a drug addict when he purchased a firearm back in 2018, lying to a federally licensed gun dealer. President Biden signed an executive order on Tuesday that aims to limit the number of illegal migrants crossing the border. The executive action would restrict migrants from seeking asylum when the average number of encounters exceeds 2,500, which is a number that has been regularly exceeded at the border in recent months. Republican lawmakers criticized the President, saying that he had the power to do this throughout his entire presidency but only chose to do so near the end of his term, coinciding with a sharp drop in the polls. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill banning social media for kids under fourteen in March, and now New York State is looking to enact similar legislation.
