What an experience marathon training has been! Sometimes I felt like frozen Audrey from Christmas Vacation, but luckily I had the Clark Griswold of running (Anna) by my side with all the optimism and wisdom to keep me going! These are lessons I want to take with me in other areas of my life-- so this is me, bottling up all the good hacks and tricks I learned to fool my body into thinking it could run a dang marathon - delivered right from my heart and into your ear holes! Introducing: 26 Lessons Learned Training for a Marathon
I am back and comin' in hot with some fresh momentum coming off of 6 months of training for a marathon! I found out so much about myself during the training - it's in the journey not the destination, right? - and I wanted to bring some lessons learned to the Pod Squad! Some things that worked for me...some things that didn't...and my goal to approach life differently as a result of the lessons. This won't be a series on how to train for a marathon, rather how to approach life situations like a marathoner. Which I am actively practicing alongside you :) Let's embrace the journey together -- we are enough!
