When everything is good with your own heart, mind, and soul then you have the resources to start giving to others. Giving knowledge, love, affection, money, lessons. Whatever it is. If you don't have it in abundance for YOU first, then you won't have it to give to others.

Jim Ruhlman is the Executive Vice President of Michigan Sugar Company and he is also my Dad. He is a guy that grew up on a farm in the middle of nowhere and started as an intern at Michigan Sugar and worked his way all the way to an executive position. He admits that it was not always smooth sailing, and after having nothing but successes early in life, he lost himself along the way. He had to reach out for support from others to get back on track and to find contentment.
