ISU dean Jean Miller retires, advancing fine arts complex after multiple delays
Jean Miller's remarkable tenure as dean of the Wonsook Kim College of Fine Arts concludes this month. Miller retires after nine years at the helm of Illinois State University’s fine arts programs, governing four academic schools plus the Illinois Shakespeare Festival, University Galleries and the Big Red Marching Machine.

ISU student's heroics remind B-N community of the importance of learning CPR
In January, Alyssa Enevold, a grad student studying biology from Mankato, Minnesota, was walking with friends near the Illinois State University campus when she suddenly collapsed into the snow. Seeing commotion as he and a friend walked outside, fellow ISU student Anthony Michalski of Plainfield rushed to administer CPR until the Normal Fire Department could take over.
