執大象，天下往。往而不害，安平太。樂與 餌，過客止。道之出口，淡乎其無味，視之不足見，聽之不足聞，用之不足既。
第 三 十 五 章
执 大 象 ， 天 下 往 。
往 而 不 害 ， 安 平 泰 。
乐 与 饵 ， 过 客 止 。
道 之 出 口 ， 淡 乎 其 无 味 ，
视 之 不 足 见 ， 听 之 不 足 闻 ， 用 之 不 足 既 。
Dì sānshíwǔ zhāng
zhí dà xiàng, tiānxià wǎng. Wǎng ér bù hài, ānpíng tài. Lè yǔ ěr, guòkè zhǐ. Dào zhī chūkǒu, dàn hū qí wúwèi, shì zhī bùzú jiàn, tīng zhī bùzú wén, yòng zhī bùzú jì.
35. Peace
If you offer music and food
Strangers may stop with you;
But if you accord with the Way
All the people of the world will keep you
In safety, health, community, and peace.
The Way lacks art and flavour;
It can neither be seen nor heard,
But its benefit cannot be exhausted.
秉持大道之象者，普天下都前往归向他。普天下都归向他，也不会互相妨害，反而得享安息、平安、太平。
人间的美乐佳宴，使匆匆过客们沉溺不前。大道出口成为话语，平淡无味，看起来不起眼，听起来不入耳，用起来却受益无穷。
秉持大道之象者，普天下都前往歸向他。普天下都歸向他，也不會互相妨害，反而得享安息、平安、太平。
人間的美樂佳宴，使匆匆過客們沉溺不前。大道出口成為話語，平淡無味，看起來不起眼，聽起來不入耳，用起來卻受益無窮。
