47- The Dullahan of Ireland Wait To Panic

    • Crímenes reales

Welcome back!

This Sunday, we're back with a myths and lore episode! Anastasia is up and sharing the popular folklore of the Dullahan. A type of Fae from Irish lore, this being appears as a person riding upon a black horse with no head on their shoulders. They carry their missing head under their arm, raising it up to search for souls to take.

Now, you're probably thinking, "Hey! That sounds like the Headless Horseman!" and you'd be right! There are many popular retellings of this Fae throughout the world, from Sleepy Hollow, to Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. If you have a favorite Dullahan type story, feel free to drop us a line!

Wait to Panic is a weekly podcast where two longtime friends take turns sharing stories that just might make your skin crawl. If you like what you hear and want more, give us some love and come back each Sunday for our newest episode! What are some of the  spookiest experiences you've had? If you have a story of your own that you want us to share, email it to us at waittopanicpodcast@gmail.com and we'll read it during our story episodes! Don't forget to check out our website at waittopanic.com for some extra spookies and stories!
